U-Turns

U-turns. Dont you just hate them?

It may be an accident. It may be road work. It may be that we must stop at a gas station, pharmacy or grocery store on the other side of the road.

Mistakes

U-turns—don’t you just hate them? U-turns here point to our mistakes. The errors we make in life.

It is an inconvenience, but it is necessary especially when we have lost our way and when we need to get back on the other side. To get back on the right track in life when we falter both physically and spiritually. The Lord will be there to guide and direct us.

So even when you’re afraid, still make that U-turn. With God’s help, you will get right back on track.

You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. (Hebrews 10:36)

Even if…

Stay true to yourself, but always be open to learn.

Even if….

God desires that we cling to Him—even if our loved one isn’t healed, even if we lose our job, even if we are persecuted. Sometimes God rescues us from danger in this life, and sometimes He doesn’t. But the truth we can hold firmly is this: “The God we serve is able,” loves us, and is with us in every fiery trial, every even if. (Extract from our Daily Bread)

Attempt Great Things…

Attempt Great things for God. Expect Great things from God. King David decided to build a house for the Lord (for the ark of the covenant). But the Lord blessed him instead. Building projects for God are costly. It demands vision, time, sacrifice and perseverance. It all begins with a dream! Do you have a dream of how God may want to use you, your family, skills or resources? Then dream it. Plan it. Pursue it; and as God enables, achieve it.

He does wonderful things that can’t be understood. He does miracles that can’t even be counted. (Job 5:9)

We Forgot to Pray!!…

woman carrying baby at beach during sunset

My grandson RJ awoke with a start and with a loud outburst panicked “We Forgot to Pray!” I replied with a big grin “so let’s do it now.” To which he replied, “no, it’s not night, night.”

Caused me to think of how often I ‘forget to pray’ and when the spirit urges me, I postpone it for the ‘right’ time. With God, any prayer time is always the right time. What about now?

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. (Ephesians 6:18)

Teaching Someone Instead…

Has the Lord ever made you teach and train someone else for a job or opportunity that you yourself wanted? This happened to Moses. No matter how much he pleaded, The Lord had decided he would not set foot on the promised land. Instead, he instructed him to teach and on top of that—encourage Joshua instead.

But before we judge too quickly, Moses prayed, prayed, and prayed …and the Lord allowed him to see a glimpse of the land He promised the children of Israel.

In the same way, David wanted to build a temple to honor the Lord’s name. But the Lord instructed him to teach his son Solomon instead. David prayed, and the Lord allowed him to start the preparation for the building, but he had to teach his son Solomon instead.

May we be encouraged today knowing that the Lord hears and answers our prayers in His way; in His time

But commission Joshua, and encourage and strengthen him, for he will lead this people across and will cause them to inherit the land that you will see. (Deuteronomy 3:28)

I Didn’t Know What Else To Do…

I didn’t know what else to do. So I prayed with everyone.

That was the comment from an eye witness to a tragic accident when 2 teens who were about to graduate lost their lives while driving home late one night. 5 minutes away from home tragedy occurred.

She didn’t know what to do to help comfort the survivors driving behind in another car, so she ‘resorted’ to prayer.

Aren’t we all like that? It’s when we have exhausted all other options then we decide to pray. We have it Skewed. Today let’s give prayer precedence in our lives.

Blessings overflow.
