Trapped…

Trapped is how I feel

Trapped when the desires of my heart goes unfulfilled

Trapped when I’m relying on what the Lord has blessed others with

Trapped yet I’m grateful for his continued provisions

Trapped financially

Trapped by impatience

Trapped as bills pile and late payments rise

Trapped by ideas waiting to be birthed

Trapped by age, status and racial discrimination

Trapped by life’s restrictions

Trapped by my mind’s melancholy

Trapped yet I know that I can do all things through Christ

Trapped by God's love yet his swift rescue is my desire

Trapped but still surrounded by God’s grace and forgiveness

At Noon We Hide…

At noon we hide under the cover

We hide as the problems hover

We hide in Christ’s Safe Place

We hide in His beloved Space

We hide until the problems are gone

We hide until things get back to Norm

At noon we hide

We hide until the problems sever

Waiting Is What I Do…

I’ll wait for you as long as you want me to. I’ll wait until it’s your time.
I’ll wait until you say yes.
I’ll wait because I want nothing less than your will.
I’ll wait on your direction,
I’ll wait on your leading,
I’ll wait on your guidance.

And when I get impatient Lord, hold my hand and make me stronger than I am.

Yes I’ll wait lord, I’ll wait.

Thy Word Have I Hid In My Heart. A Poem For Those Who Plead…

Thy word have I hid in my heart that I may be strong among those who try to restrain me

Thy word have I hid in my heart that I may steadily rise above injustice

Thy word have I hid in my heart that I may never let go despite the strain that heavily weighs down on me

Thy word have I hid in my heart that I may fight the good fight until my days are done

Thy word have I hid in my heart that I may confidently stride to attain new heights of gain

Thy word have I hid in my heart that I may persevere beyond the trials that intercepts me

Thy word have I hid in my heart that I may show resilience to those arising; be it children, young adults or seniors with memories long gone, but yet unforgettable

Thy word have I hid in my heart that I may not fall prey and sin against Thee

Thy word have I hid in my heart that I may be strong because of Thee.

Thy word I have hid in my heart that I may not sin against thee. Psalms 119:11

Above all else, lets guard our hearts, for everything we do flows from it. Proverbs 4:23

I See Walls…

I see walls

I see walls on every side of me.

Dark walls.

Brick walls.

Walls that seem to be made out of steel and the toughest stone.

I can’t see my way through.

I’m overwhelmed

But then I am comforted in the knowledge that you can see for me.

As I hold onto you,

You embrace me Lord and hold me firm,

You comfort with the words,

All will be well

Everything is going to be alright.

But Still my heart longs for those days when I don’t have to worry.

Lord, you are in control and I long for quiet peace.

A peace that passes all understanding.

Unto you I lift up my praise.

My heart yearns for you in a dry and thirsty land.

For with Christ in the vessel I know I can smile at the storm
